Lauralouise Duffy : CEO, Global Fund Exchange Holdings
Lauralouise Duffy is Principal and Co-founder of Global Fund Exchange Holdings and Global Fund Directors since 2006. As CEO and Co-Portfolio Manager, the group has launched in excess of USD$ 2 billion of both established and as emerging hedge fund products. For 6 years, prior to Global Fund Exchange, Ms. Duffy was a Partner of First New York Securities and the COO/CCO of their alternative investment arm, FNY Capital. At FNY Capital, Ms. Duffy managed the operations, compliance and administration of 11 hedge funds totaling $1.2 billion. Additionally she was the Portfolio Manager of a $350 million managed account platform of outside hedge funds for the firm. Prior to 2000, Ms. Duffy served as, Managing Director for EGS Securities, a global macro hedge fund; Managing Director of Croesus Capital Management, a global emerging markets hedge fund; Partner and COO of Argonaut Capital Management. Ms. Duffy began her career in investment banking in 1990 for a boutique Wall Street firm and then worked in the Municipal Bond department at Lehman Brothers. Ms. Duffy has spent more than 25 years in the alternative investment space in the capacity of Portfolio Manager, CEO, COO and CCO. Her career spans geographies around the world including Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, New Zealand and South America. Strategies have included global macro, energy, commodities, impact assets, emerging markets, and private equities. An active philanthropist, Ms. Duffy is the Co-Founder of the Little Baby Face Foundation focused on reconstructive surgeries for babies born with severe deformities since 2002.
