Custom House Global Fund Services, parent company of the Custom House Group, is an award winning independent fund administrator with two and a half decades of experience in providing an extensive range of services, coupled with a very personal approach.
Custom House was originally established in Dublin, Ireland in 1989 by Dermot Butler. Over the twenty-five years since, Custom House has developed into a leading global independent financial organisation, with the parent company of the Custom House Group based in Malta and subsidiary companies offering full administration services in Chicago, Dublin, Luxembourg and Singapore. Custom House also has offices located in the Netherlands, Guernsey, New York and San Francisco.
In September 2008, Custom House merged with the fund services business of what is now the TMF Group and reorganised under Custom House Global Fund Services Ltd., the Maltese based holding company for the Group. The merge added three locations to our network of offices – Guernsey, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The Custom House Group of Companies has several complementary businesses. The primary business is the provision of a full administration service to alternative investment funds (including private equity, real estate and venture capital funds), hedge funds, managed accounts and daily dealing managed account platforms. Custom House also offers a dedicated Shadow Accounting service. The complementary businesses include the provision of Corporate Secretarial and Director services as well as acting as a licensed Custodian of Funds of Funds in Malta and similarly in the Netherlands, where Custom House offers Bewaarder services to local Dutch clients. Custom House can service Guernsey funds through its Guernsey office. Custom House can also assist clients in the design, organisation and establishment of customised offshore funds if needed.
Custom House offers a 24/5 global hedge fund administration service through its fully integrated network of offices. We specialise in alternative investment funds, indeed, we describe ourselves as “The Specialist Fund Specialist”. As such, we do not generally act for traditional or ‘vanilla’ funds, rather concentrating on the ubiquitous alternative investment and hedge funds, which include many varied investment strategies.
We understand that each fund is unique and our priority is our commitment to our clients and providing them with a quality tailored service. We pride ourselves on a personal and innovative service. We will customise the structure of each fund to meet the client’s needs, providing them with practical solutions to such problems as valuations for daily dealing hedge funds and pricing hard to value OTC and other illiquid assets.
Custom House uses the state of the art, fully integrated, fund administration system, PFS-PAXUS. Reporting and dealing is effected through Gateway and CHARIOT, Custom House’s secure password protected web-reporting platforms for managers and investors.
We are committed to working not only with institutions, but also with emerging or newly independent money managers, whose customised funds start out quite small. Our philosophy is to grow with those managers and their funds, demonstrating our long-term dedication to our clients.
CHGFS and its subsidiaries are fully regulated, as required, by the relevant authorities in their jurisdiction. Custom House has both SSAE16 and ISAE3402 accreditation across all operational offices within the Group.
